Sex, social media and a ménage à trois of scandal

Publicity seeking Brittany Spears, Ummm, I mean Higgins is a sad story in the life of Canberra, culture, women’s rights and white men’s ability not to be the piñata of society.

ACT Director of Public Prosecutions Shane Drumgold explains his decision to drop the case against Bruce Lehrmann, or more over to stop Brittany Higgins case going to a second trial.  The ACT DDP have taken the ‘extraordinary” view that now mental health issues are relevant in “not” proceeding with this case.

There are no winners in this case and plenty of losers.

Bruce Lehrmann will never be able to defend his right to be “innocent” in this case, and it will forever linger in the Canberra and Australia vapour of legal outcomes. How does the rest of his life look?

He is now suing the ABC for millions, and rightfully so.

Brittany Higgins never gets to prove it was a drunken night out that ended in her trying to recover her dignity and/or reputation.

Lawyers for Brittany Higgins have given notice that they will sue former Liberal ministers Linda Reynolds.

Brittany Higgins book deal continues to be a contentious issue and will do nothing to start the healing process for them.

This case should never of been tried the way it was.
